Kawai Pianos, the world renowned manufacturer of pianos, is organising a music concert on 2nd May, at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre, Hotel Novotel. Renown vocalist Jonas Olsson and concert pianist Neecia Majolly will participate in this recital, and they will be performing some works by Mozart, Chopin, Schubert, Bach and Stenhammer.
Jonas Olsson is a Western classical trained singer, who started his singing education in the Gothenburg Boys' Choir, Sweden, and continued with studies for Prof Gunnar Forshufvud at the Gothenburg Conservatory, alongside with participating in many of Sweden's best renowned choirs, both as soloist and as choir singer. Olsson specialises in sacred concert music, as counter tenor oratorio soloist in the works of Bach, Handel, Monteverdi and Vivaldi, but also sings more romantic songs, lending character with his baritone.
Neecia Majolly is a concert pianist, conductor, singer, teacher and composer, who has emerged as one of the most dynamic musical forces in India. Aside of running an active piano and vocal studio in Bangalore where she teaches, she also directs Camerata (that presents unusual Western classical music) and Madrigals (that specialises in Renaissance music), two of India's best choirs. She holds an LRSM, an FTCL and a B Mus (Western Australian Conservatorium), and is also the Karnataka representative of the London College of Music Examinations (LCME).
