The Engineering Staff College of India (ESCI) is conducting a program titled "Green Building - Architecture With Sustainable Design Requirements", from 1st May to 3rd May, at the ESCI campus, Gachibowli.
The program will equip the participants to analyze the costs and benefits of incorporating sustainable building practices, by giving information on the financial incentives and technical assistance offered by governments, utilities and non-profit organizations. It will also show how working with architects, designers, builders, building operators and utilities can improve a building's performance. The program also helps in establishing a sustainable design goal for project development, and provides inputs for the education and training of staff.
The program covers Fundamentals Of Sustainable Building, Green Building Design, Renewable Energy In Buildings, Energy Efficiency And Lighting, Green Material Selection, Space Conditioning System, Building Operations And Maintenance, Green Building Automation, Green Building Rating System and Carbon Credit Possibilities.
Lectures by experts in the domain, group discussions, case studies and a participatory style of learning are the key features of the program. Architects and engineers, tenant and developers, project managers, builders, aspirants of carbon credits, professionals and resource conservation specialists will find the program quite useful. It will help save long term costs for builders, building owners, operators and tenants; improve the environmental, social and economic viability of the region; reduce environmental impacts; decrease owner liability; and improve your skills in a rapidly growing field.
The fee for this workshop is Rs. 9,000 per participant, and includes tuition fee, course material, breakfast, lunch, dinner, and twin-sharing A/C accommodation at the campus' executive hostels. The accommodation for participants is reserved from one day before to one day after the program dates. Extra stay will be chargeable. The timings of the program are 9:45am to 5:15pm, 1st May to 3rd May.
A certificate of participation will be issued by ESCI on conclusion of the program. Participants are encouraged to share case studies from their organizations (if any) during the program.
