Shiamak Davar's dance institute is conducting a summer funk dance workshop on rock 'n' roll from 25st April to 3rd May, in Meridian School at Banjara Hills. The workshop is open for people of all ages, and training will be given by students of Shiamak Davar. There will be 8 classes in this workshop. The fee for this workshop is Rs. 2,000, and the timings are 11:30am to 12:30pm, Monday to Saturday.
Rock 'n' roll is a form of popular music arising from and incorporating a variety of musical styles, especially rhythm and blues, country music and gospel. Originating in the United States in the 1950s, it is characterized by electronically amplified instrumentation, a heavily accented beat, and relatively simple phrase structure.

At SDIPA, students start classes from the Beginner level, graduating to Elementary, Elementary Advanced, and Intermediate. The special potential batch is an intensive training session where the students are auditioned by Shiamak Davar.
