Aurora Degree College is conducting a summer camp from 21st April to 9th May. Summer Hungama '08 is a children's summer camp being organized by the degree and PG college, and is intended to bring together art and science under one roof for children between the ages of 9 and 16. It provides exposure to the creative process of drama on one hand, and an opportunity to satiate their scientific urges through astronomy on the other.
Through theater, children are taken through a self-exploratory journey to build their self-esteem. Thus, enhancement of communication skills and shedding of inhibitions become incidental advantages.
Astronomy has intrigued and inspired young learners from time immemorial, and Aurora takes this opportunity to give these kids the advantage of activity-based scientific learning of planets, stars, aliens and various concepts like comet cooking and measuring gravity.
