We're seeing a bold new dash of Kolkata color in the city. This time it's a group showing of four painters from up east who studied at the same art school. And that's where the similarity ends.
While Sumantro Mukherjee's series of five black and white drawings are centered around an ape, Soumen Basu uses terracotta murals to create Ganesha. Prodip Muhuri works with acrylic on canvas and Dipanjan Das has a collection of watercolors on paper. Taken all around, a satisfyingly diverse mix.
The prices for the works range from Rs. 5,000 to Rs. 25,000. For further details, please call 5556-4466.
