A man - like so many men before him - falls in love with a woman - much like many other women before her. But the guy in question regards himself a Casanova of sorts, and she's not amused. So Madana, the woman, decides she's had enough and that it's payback time. And she finds an interesting way of wreaking vengeance on the hapless Kamaraju.
First staged publicly in the September of last year, Madana Kamaraju Katha met with such warm applause and big belly laughs that Rasa Ranjani has brought it back, braving the exorbitant price of staging it at Ravindra Bharathi. Rasa Ranjani, a cultural association of lovers of art, performs this play more often at its office premises, but popular demand has brought it to the public platform again.
A completely local production, Madana Kamaraju Katha, has been directed by Dr. MN Sharma, an erstwhile dean of the Hyderabad Central University. For further details please contact Ram Murthy at 2332-2525.
