On the occasion of the Telugu New Year (Ugadi), Kuchipudi, the ethnic Telugu restaurant at Hotel Fortune Katriya, is organising a 10-day Ugadi Food Festival from 5th to 14th April. The restaurant has been beautifully done for the event with traditional decorations such as neem leaves, mango leaves and flowers, to get the rural Andhra feel.
The traditional buffet costing Rs. 250 per adult and Rs. 199 per child (taxes extra) includes panakam, majjiga, two soups in veg & non-veg rasam, live counters of dosa, pesarattu, utappam, appam and steam dosa, three green salads and three non-veg salads, two starters in kobbari vada and apollo fish, main course dishes in non-veg like Godavari mamsam, vepudu, Kakinada kodi koora, peetala masala iguru and bommidala pulusu, main course dishes in veg like pacchadi korigayalu, kanda davva vepudu, aratikaya vepudu, chamagadda iguru and potlakaya pappu, sambar, curd rice, steam rice, dahi vada, three types of veg and non-veg tikkas, and vadiyalu. For desserts, there are boorelu, ravva laddu, payasam, poothareku, kaja, gavvalu, cut fruits, ice-cream, junnu and jangery.
