The Publications Division of the Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting is organizing a special book exhibition for 11 days on the occasion of the Gandhi Jayanti celebrations. The Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University Vice-Chancellor G V Subramanyam will inaugurate the exhibition.
A discount of 10 percent will be extended on books during the occasion. In view of the importance of the occasion, a wide range of books on Mahatma Gandhi like a Gandhi album, a pictorial biography and epigraphs from the life of the Mahatma and his disciples will be available. Also, all the collected works of Gandhiji in 100 volumes will be available for sale.
A special CD (containing information of 50,000 pages) of collected works of Mahatma Gandhi, his own voice, film footage and rare photographs will be on sale. Besides, hundreds of books on various subjects like art, culture, history, children's literature, agriculture, the flora and fauna, the land and the people, biographies of eminent personalities, Gandhian literature and children's literature will be on display.
Other new releases like The Story of Ayurveda, The Story of Swimming, Folktales Of Kerala, C Rajagopalachary, B R Ambedkar, Marine Archaeology Of India, Empowering Indian Women and The Myth And Mystics Of Indian Rivers will be showcased in the exhibition.
