Sreekanth Kurva, a lecturer at the Telugu University, is holding an exhibition of paintings and prints for 10 days. The exhibition will be inaugurated by Jagdish Mittal, an historian and art collector, on 8th October, and will be open for the public from 9th October.
Kurva's paintings primarily deal with animals, particularly goats and elephants. They remind you of the carvings of prehistoric man, though with a touch of modernity. Over the years, Sreekanth has tried his hand at different forms of painting like collage, wood cut, print-making and acrylic painting. His works are priced between Rs. 4,000 and Rs. 14,000.
