Aarti Vir of Hyderabad is holding her first exhibition of salt-glazed ceramics, which will be on for a period of 16 days. The show will be inaugurated by Padmasri Jagdish Mittal on September 26 at 6.00pm.
Aarti is perhaps the only artist working with the salt glaze technique, which originated in Rhineland (Germany) around the 12th century. She will display handmade ceramics of both utilitarian and purely visual (decorative) varieties for sale. The price range of these items are Rs. 80 to Rs. 9,000.
