Inter School Road Race: Events in Hyderabad

PREVIEW FOR INTER SCHOOL ROAD RACE

In line with the idea of Hyd as the new sporting capital and to promote safe roads,
a new concept of road racing is here. What is a road race? A running race on the
road around the L B Stadium. The event is being organized by the Hyderabad District
Amateur Athletic Association on the 7th of December.

According to the organizers, more than 1000 students from various schools in and
around the city are participating in the race. The race has three categories -
10 yrs, 13 yrs and 16 yrs. The race for the first two categories is conducted
over a course of 1.5km and for the 16 year olds the length of the course is 3km.
There is an initial entry fee of Rs.15 and attractive prizes are going to be given
out to the first ten winners of each category.

The race begins at 6:30 am and the competitors should report at the venue at 6:00
am. So if you are one of those who can't stay in one place, then channelize your
restlessness to your feet. All you need to do is get up early one morning and
get there, carrying a pair of good sneakers that is. For more details contact
