Now here is a chance for all those people who think that their tongues are made of stone and their taste buds are gone on a permanent holiday to The Carribean Islands to actually test what they are made of. Dakshin presents the Jaasti Kaaram; translated to mean High Spice.
The mainstage in this festival is going to be occupied by the Guntur Chilli and all that it can accomplish. The chef is preparing 6 vegetarian and 6 non-vegetarian dishes to suit all kinds of palates. The Velluli Kaaram Mamsam, a combination of garlic, green and red chillies with lamb is a must try. For the vegetarians there is Ullipaya Kara Pulusu; an interesting concoction of onions and button onions in tamarind and other spices.
The regular menu is also going to be offerred during this festival and it is open for lunch and dinner. So if you think you are amongst the stronger ones and have the required stomach lining for it, go ahead. And always remember to keep a glass of cold milk, not water, by your side.
