The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology, is presenting Head Start '08, a national-level technical symposium, 3rd and 4th April. The event is a platform for students to interact and share their knowledge. Students from colleges all over the country will present their awareness on a wide range of areas, from coding to gaming and paper presentations to treasure hunts, as below:
Paper Presentation
Papers are invited in the areas of:
AI & Human Computer Interfacing
Data Mining And Data Warehousing
Network Security & Cryptography
Pattern Recognition & Image Processing
Social Computing & Bio-informatics
Object Oriented Software Engineering
VLSI & Embedded Systems
Wireless Communications & Mobile Computing
Any other topic related to computer science is acceptable, too.
Project Presentation
Any software product such as a device driver, paint tool, text editor, or media player is programmable. Use any programming language and send a description of the project. If selected for final presentation, a demonstration of the project will need to be made.
Game Designing
For all computer geeks, this is an opportunity of show off their coding skills. Design a game and win prizes.
Technical Quiz
A quiz competition on computers and software.
Coding 'n' Debugging
Participants are required to showcase their skills in coding and debugging. The fastest one wins.
LAN Gaming
Demonstrate your skills and wits with the other participants on the LAN and become the champion.
Extempore
Adjust yourself and speak on the topic given on the spot.
Treasure Hunt
An outdoor fun-filled game.
Pictionary
A technical drawing competition.
Collage
This requires participants to create a theme using cut-outs from magazines.
