The Khadi and Village Industries Board, Government Of Andhra Pradesh, is organising Khadi Bazaar 2008, from 21st March to 8th April, at the Visveswarayya Bhavan, Khairatabad. There are 61 stalls stocking and selling khadi fabrics from all over India. The main objective of the exhibition is to provide an opportunity to small entrepreneurs and institutions to market their products directly to the customer.
A majority of the stalls store fresh stocks of attractive khadi products, such as salwar-kameez, skirts-tops, bermudas, shirts, frocks, blankets, bedsheets, pillow and cushion covers, dress material and running cloth. The exhibitors have come from Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra and Orissa.
Besides khadi cloth and dress material, the exhibition also include various other products like pickles, medicinal oils, herbal products, neem products, soaps, mango jelly, leather bags, mobile covers and hand purses, clay handicrafts, papads, seedless dates, pootharekus, amla products and snacks.
