Dog Show by the Kennel Club: Events in Hyderabad

Yep, there's going to be a ramp walk at this year's dog show. Rohit Bal, eat your
heart out.

The Kennel Club is back again with its annual event, that draws big crowds because
the dogs are adorable (and in some cases also about as expensive as the cars that
drove them there). This show is a huge hit with breeders, trainers and manufacurers
of dog-food. And yes, also dog lovers.

Only pure-bred mutts, mind you. The secretary of the Club almost had a heart-attack
when we asked him if there would be a category for mixed-breeds. This year there
are some new categories, including the Saint Bernard and the Rhodesian Ridgeback.
The show will last all day, and in the evening there will be a fashion show for
pets and their owners, 'Perfect Mates'. A fancy dress is also scheduled, although
the dogs almost always have a problem with their lines.
