An alumnus of Government College of Arts, Calcutta, Mondal has held several solo shows in major cities of India and celebrated his 25 years of exhibiting in watercolor medium recently.
He visited Paris and major cities of Germany for art study under INDO-FRG Cultural Exchange Programme. He has participated in many important group exhibitions including:
