Akkineni's 84th Birthday Celebrations: Events in Hyderabad

REVIEW FOR AKKINENI'S 84TH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS

On the occasion of the 84th birth anniversary of evergreen movie actor Dr. Akkineni Nageshwara Rao, Kinnera Art Theatres is organising a musical nite of 84 movie hit songs of the thespian, on 20th, 21st and 22nd September, at Sri Thyagaraya Gana Sabha. This 3-day program has been titled Ganabhishekam, and the details are as under:

20th September
6:00pm - Musical nite featuring the music of K V Mahadevan, Ghantasala and Subbaraman, by Chandrateja, Y R Sastry, Nanduri Laxmana Rao, Surekha Murthy, Geetanjali and Haripriya. The chief guest for the evening is Justice C Y Somayajulu, A P High Court. The other guests are Director of Prasar Bharathi Dr. P Madhusudan Rao, cine director A Kodanda Rami Reddy, and Cine Vignana Visharada S V Rama Rao.

21st September
6:00pm - Musical nite featuring the music of Saluri Rajeshwara Rao, Venu and Adinarayana Rao, by Amalapuram Kanna Rao, Muralidhar, Sashidhar, Balakameshwara Rao, Sharada reddy and Sunitha Balaji. The chief guest for the evening is Justice N Rama Mohan Rao, A P High Court. The other guests are producer Dr. M S Reddy, Managing Director of TVS Ventures T V Krishnaiah, and President of Sri Thyagaraya Gana Sabha, Kala Venkata Dikshitulu.

22nd September
6:00pm - Musical nite featuring the music of Pendyala Nageshwara Rao, T Chalapathi Rao and Chakravarthy, by D A Mitra, Subash, Ch. Venkateshwara Rao, V A Lakshmi and Amani. The chief guest for the evening is Dadasaheb Phalke and Padmabhushan awardee Dr. Akkineni Nageshwara Rao. The other guests are Gnanpeeth and Padmabhushan awardee Dr. C Narayana Reddy, and Chairman of Dr. Akkineni Nataka Kala Parishad, Saripally Kondala Rao, among others.
