Deccan Pavilion, the Hyderabadi speciality restaurant of Hotel ITC Kakatiya Sheraton & Towers, is presenting a food festival of Mexican specialities called Mercado, from 14th to 23rd September. Mercado is a Spanish/Portuguese word for a market place or bazaar, and this festival contains a plethora of spicy dishes from the land of Tequila, chilies and chocolate. The menu contains the following:

Nachos
Corn tortilla chips covered with salsa & melted cheese
Mexsalad
Freshly made with avocado, lettuce tomatoes & vinaigrette
Campechana
Shrimp in a slightly spicy lime-tomato cocktail sauce with cilantro, pico de gallo and diced avocado
Soups
Albondigas Soup
A flavorful meatball, green beans and parsley soup
Spicy Tortilla Soup
Tomato and crisp tortilla soup spiked with fresh chilies.
Main Course
Smoked Costillas
Large pork chops marinated in BBQ salsa smoked on charcoal served with roast potatoes
Polloasado
Famous charcoal grilled breast of chicken marinated in spicy and tangy mix served with fried onions & rosemary salsa
Burritos
A flour tortilla with beans & your choice of filling - prawn/cheese/veg, served with onions, cheese, tomatoes and ranch salsa
Enchiladas
Corn tortillas rolled and filled with beans & your choice of filling - tenderloin/veg, oven-baked & covered with a mild salsa, sour cream & melted cheese

Chocolate Double Fudge
Served with whipped cream
Carrot Cake
Warm cakes served with ice cream and vanilla sauce
