Weddings are occasions to rejoice and celebrate. But not all shopkeepers rejoice and celebrate after taking enormous amounts of your money. They seriously invest in bonds and stuff. Anyway, you shouldn't mind, it's only a once-in-a-lifetime thing (hopefully). So here's a collection of some really classy wedding dresses for the budding brides and grooms in you.
Three designers design this Trousseau and Wedding Collection: Sima Gujral (Delhi), Priya Chintan (Mumbai) and Preetika Ayan (Calcutta). There are saris, lehengas, churidaars and suits to pick from. For men, they have essentially sherwanis and styled suits. The collection uses the newest techniques of dressmaking that render a fresh feel to the clothes. The colors are a forecast of the future, with shades for the spring and summer of 2004.
The price ranges from Rs. 6,000 to Rs. 50,000. The collection is trying to give the feel of what the future might hold for Indian wedding wear. Very hip!
