If your child spends a little too much of time in front of the mirror and delivers dialogues in solitude while you have faced enough melodrama teaching your child how to act right in front of others, what you need is a break. And your child, too.
Summer is the time to be proactive, and getting your child into the right channel of creativity sets the right stage for him. Vaishali Bisht is organizing a theater workshop for children wherein the training will be on topics like physical expression, projection of voice, dialogue delivery, using physical objects, incorporating role play of characters, shaping personal material and using the theater as a forum.
This course comes in basically two packages. One is an intensive course in which the above topics will be covered over a period of 10 days, with the timing being 10am to 12pm. The second is a comprehensive session, and the children will be trained at a stretch for 24 days. The timing for the latter session will be 2pm to 4pm.
Children in the age groups of 6-12 years are eligible to apply for these summer training sessions. Only 25 students in each batch will be placed to undergo the training.
The course fee for the 25-day training will be Rs. 3,000 and for the 10-day session, Rs. 1,000. Please contact Vaishali Bisht at 341-1862 for further details.
