Summer camps are a boon for parents and the bane of the Devil. They deprive the
latter of several delegates to His workshop for an extended period of time, and
help the parents preserve their sanity in what could be a potentially nerve-fraying
period. And there is no shortage of the service providers.
St. Ambrose School is organizing a summer camp for kids at its premises starting on the 16th of this month. This is the eleventh consecutive year that the school is organizing this camp. The earlier 10 camps were apparently quite successful, with lots of kids having joined and learnt newer skills.
This summer course, with activities galore for children in the age group of 3 to 16 years, has a course fee of Rs. 800 and a registration fee of Rs. 30. The activities planned for the kids are training in gymnastics, skating, personality grooming, spoken English, talent training, dance (Indian & Western), creative writing, painting & drawing, recitation & dramatics, aerobics, karate, arts & crafts, quizzing, magic, fancy dressing, debate & elocution, puppet shows, story telling, clay modeling (for junior children), mimicry, scrabble, character building, and vocational guidance (senior group), and academics as well. There will also be video shows and lots of fun & games.
Children can also undergo training in the following categories by paying a separately structured fee: swimming, embroidery, computer programming, piano & guitar playing, beauty courses, mehndi designs (for senior girls) and shooting. Excursions are also part of this.
