Art was also a casualty when mother earth frowned at Gujarat. But something called professional courtesy exists to lift the spirits of the shaken and the dispirited. And that trait is being exhibited to the fore by an organization in our city.
Indext-C, an organization of the Gujarat government, and Shilparamam are jointly organizing an exclusive exhibition-cum-sale of Gujarati crafts for a week's period. This mela is being organized in an effort to enhance the spirits of the calamity-struck weavers and craftsmen of Gujarat.
There will be around 150 stalls along with a few food stalls at this exhibition. Weavers and craftsmen will display their hand made items here. There will also be some cultural program everyday to entertain the visitors in the evenings.
