Here's a lady who is versatility personified. And she also seems to believe in the adage that art is enhanced through proliferation. Now for the best news. Hyderabad is going to gain from her belief and experience.
Shilpa Jain, born and brought up in Rajastan, is a lady who is closely related to the traditions over there. She was trained in Ghoomar, a traditional dance of Rajasthan, when she was young, and has been practicing now for 15 years and has a vast experience in its arduous steps. She is also a prolific painter, singer and even a film critic!
Now settled in Mumbai, she is right now is in Hyderabad, at Jain Niwas. Having planned to teach the Hyderabadi kids the type of dance that she is well versed with, she has started a 15-day camp at her residence starting on the 9th. Apart from training in dance (movements & rhythm), kids will also learn story telling (mythological and moral stories), music, arts & crafts, acting, visualization and exploration of colors (drawing).
