If you thought summer was all about sunstrokes, sweat, power-cuts and laziness,
then you haven't seen the sunnier side of it. Apart from gouging on mangoes and
juices and getting umpteen train reservations done, you also have a chance to
give your kids some creative fun, particularly if they are giving you 'son'strokes
and 'tan'trums by staying at home. Well, one organization is trying to help you
come over these ides.
YMCA is organizing a summer camp starting on the 26th of this month. This will be a one -month kids' camp for children between 5 and 15 years of age, who can join by paying a sum of Rs. 350 and spend their summer vacation very creatively. YMCA organizes such camps every year in the months of April and May.
It is arranging for well-trained faculty to teach the children. The areas in which the child can undergo training are Basketball, Table Tennis, Yoga, Aerobics, Chess, Judo (Martial Arts), Badminton, Gymnastics, Breakdance, Karate, Folk Dance, Handicrafts, Drawing & Painting, Roller Skating, Piano, Magic and Guitar.
Registration forms can be obtained at the venue. The course timings are 6.30am to 1.00pm. Please contact Sadanandam at 780-1936 for further details.
