The place that hosts the most serenading in town is now officially inviting you to sing! Okay, in French, but don't tell us you haven't learnt a little French in all the time here!
The French Embassy and the Alliance Francaise de Hyderabad are jointly organizing a national singing competition in French - Operation French Nightingale - to pick the best of the lot from Alliance and various colleges.
The Embassy will supply 4 cassettes containing different songs for this competition, and each student will have to choose a song that he/she will sing in front of the judges. Those interested can enroll their names at the Alliance Francaise office at West Marredpally, Secunderabad.
The winner will be titled the 'French Nightingale of Hyderabad', and will become eligible to take part in the national level competition to be held at New Delhi. Five winners in the finals will get the coveted prize of a one-month trip to France.
