The last week taught us that more teams play cricket and chess than football in Hyderabad. Somehow, we're not wiser.
The 2nd Sudhakar Memorial Inter-School Football Tournament is being organised at the Lal Bazaar Football grounds, from 25th to 30th November. Just 8 school teams are participating in this tournament, and are divided into two groups. Group A has St Andrew's HS (A team), Model Mission School, St Joseph High School and Valerian Grammar School, while Group B has St. Andrews HS (B Team), St Patrick's HS, St Michael's HS and Govt. Boys High School Trimulgherry.
All the league matches will be played in the league-cum-knockout format. Trophies will be awarded to the winners, runners-up and losing semi-finalists, and there will be individual prizes for footballer of the match and of the tournament, and participation certificates to all the teams. The schedule of matches is as under:
25th November: League matches
St Michael's HS vs Govt. Boys HS
St Andrew's HS(A) vs Model Mission School
St Patrick's HS vs St. Andrews HS (B)
St Joseph High School vs Valerian Grammar School
26th November: League matches
St Patrick's HS vs St Michael's HS
St Andrew's HS(A) vs St Joseph High School
Govt. Boys HS vs St. Andrews HS (B)
Valerian Grammar School vs Model Mission School
27th November: League matches
St Michael's HS vs St. Andrews HS (B)
Model Mission School vs St Joseph High School
28th November: League matches
Govt. Boys HS vs St Patrick's HS
St Andrew's HS(A) vs Valerian Grammar School
29th November: Semifinals
Group A Winner vs Group B Runners-up
Group B Winner vs Group A Runners-up
30th November: Finals
1st Semifinal Winner vs 2nd Semifinal Winner
