ATA is bringing in some experts from Australia to town for 5 days, to make budding tennis players mentally strong. We think the people who need this more are Telugu movie audiences.
Advantage Tennis Academy (ATA) in Malkajgiri, jointly with the National High Performance Academy (NHPA) of Sydney, Australia, is organising a 5-day workshop called High Performance Tennis Workshop, at the SAAP Tennis Complex in the Lal Bahadur Stadium compound, from 27th November to 1st December. The workshop will be conducted by Mark Wilton, the commercial manager of NHPA, Ryan Henry, high performance coach of NHPA and Anthony Richardson, Manager of NHPA, Sydney, together with D R C Kiron, Head Coach of ATA. This is the first time that the program is being conducted in India.
The workshop is designed to enable participants to enhance their pace in the tennis court by including tactical, technical drills simulating match play, and other high intensity drills. Participants at the camp can strive to develop their activity of mind, self-confidence, dignity, discipline, competitive spirit and comradeship, as also improve in performance, strength, speed, endurance and coordination. This helps players to create long-term individual development goals, develop professional skills and get mentally tough for the post-professional circuit.
The workshop is being sponsored by Prince Sports Company, co-ordinated by Sports Authority of India and supported by Tennis Australia. The fee for the workshop is Rs. 10,000 per participant (inclusive of breakfast and lunch). There are limited enrolments, and the last date for registration is 23rd November.
