Minaaz Art Gallery, on Road No. 5, Banjara Hills, is organising an exhibition of paintings, collages and drawings by J Paramashivam and Prakash Gatkar. Recent works of the artists, 20 each, will be on display from 2nd to 9th December.
J Paramashivam's works are collages with water colors on paper, depicting the landscape paintings of nature. The colors, even though not bright, are eye-catching and lively. He is a BFA in painting from Sri Venkateshwara College of Fine Arts, Madhapur, Hyderabad.
Prakash Gatkar is a BFA in drawing and painting from Gulbarga College of Fine Arts, Gulbarga. In this series, he has chosen the sea as the theme of his paintings, with drawings being black and white figurative. His paintings are all oil on canvas, with bright colors of blue, a mixture of orange and pink, and green.
