HCA B Division One-Day Knockout Tournament: Events in Hyderabad

REVIEW FOR HCA B DIVISION ONE-DAY...

There is a choice you have between watching the Indian team at SA and watching these local teams at the Parade Grounds, this week. Actually, the option is rather clear.

The Hyderabad Cricket Association is organising the B-Division One-Day Knockout Cricket Tournament, from 28th November to 4th December, in which 29 club teams are participating, given below:

Super Stars, Vidyut Soudha, Rushiraj, FMC, Victory, XI Masters, Noble, Deccan Colts, Swastik Union, Bharat, LIC, Dhruv XI, Bharatiya, Tirumala, Sham Nagar, Lal Bahadur, Mahmood, Sporting, Mahaveer, Young Citizens, Sutton, Vijay, Hyderabad Wanderers, Akshit, RBI, Cosmos, A Team, P N Youngsters, and Telecom

All the matches will be played at the Parade Grounds, in the knock-out format. The 1st round matches will be played on 28th and 29th November, the 2nd round ones on 29th and 30th November, the 3rd round one on 1st December, the 4th round ones on 3rd December and the finals on 4th December. Super Stars, Tirumala and Telecom received a 1st round bye, and they start their matches from 2nd round.

Under this format, every team plays only the next team - i. e., the 1st team plays the 2nd team, the 3rd team with the 4th, the 5th with the 6th and so on. The winner of the 1st match plays with the winner of the 2nd, the winner of the 3rd with the winner of the 4th, and vice versa every round. All the teams participating qualified from the league stages that were played between August and November 2006.
