There could not have been a better way to celebrate the anniversary of this cuture-keepr. That is, to invoke God through the media they actually stand for, drama. A great case of being tactful with both the Almighty and the connoisseurs of this art!
Kala Bharathi, a cultural organization started by P Chandraiah, an artist and a lecturer in the Gandhi Medical College, is celebrating its 5th anniversary. On this day, 3 plays will be staged, namely 'Sri Krishna Rayabaram', 'Sri Ramajaneya Yuddham', and 'Gayopakhyanam'. P Chandraiah will play the lead role of Rama in these plays and T Nagi Reddy will play the key role of Sri Hanuman.
Incidentally, T Nagireddy will be felicitated on the same evening for his contribution to the arts, for his social service and for his philanthropy. He is also the Director of Pavani Constructions and has constructed temples of Lord Venkateshwara, Sri Sai Baba, Sri Rama and Sri Ayyappa in various localities of Hyderabad.
The evening's program will conclude with a Bharatanatyam performance by Sravya and a 'Prarthana Geetam' (prayer song) by M Shanti.
