When the most glamorous archive of Hyderabad history holds a summer camp, art
remains the gainer. And students, too. Here's a camp, for a change, that not only
makes a young one appreciate art, but also takes him down a lane where history
echoes through the artifacts around him.
Salar Jung Museum is organizing a 15-day 'Art Camp' this summer. School students who are interested and who are in the age group of 6-15 years can apply. The applications can be obtained at the reception of the Museum.
Students will be trained in oil painting, story telling, open-house discussions on heritage related topics, philately, drawing and sketching, flower making, paper cutting, molding and casting, gallery visits, dance, music, theory and practices, and numismatics at this camp.
The enrollment fee for this summer course is Rs. 125 per head, and the museum authorities at the venue will provide the art material. There are around 300 vacancies, of which 50 seats are reserved for the physically disabled.
