The Hyderabad Bangalee Samithi was established in 1942, to promote goodwill and a feeling of fellowship among members of the Bengali community, and also between the Bengalis and the other communities, living in Andhra Pradesh. To achieve this, the Samithi organises various cultural and musical events regularly, in addition to the annual Durgashtami that is organised on a grand scale.
