Rajan's School of Photography is celebrating its silver jubilee this year, and to commemorate this special event, the school is showcasing a photo exhibition on Araku tribes, 'The Beauty Of Araku Forest', from 26th to 30th July, at the ICCR Art Gallery.
The exhibition contains about 101 photographic prints of 16 experienced photographers, made conventionally and also using latest digital technology, thus showing the transformation and transition of photographic art. This subject has fetched the students four Associateship honors from The Royal Photographic Society of Great Britain.
The photographers participating in this display are K Vishwender Reddy, B V Ramana, Chandana Srinivas, B Lavakumar, S Sadanandam, M Vishnu Murthy, Amzad, Mekala Srinivas, N Naveen Kumar, Nehemiah, Nalla Bharath, Nagaraj Devara Vemuluri, K Srinivas, Shareef S K A, Bommala Venkanna and Ch Narendra. These photographers have together clicked some breathtaking snaps of the beautiful and undisturbed valley of Araku and the lifestyle of the tribes living there.
Rajan's School of Photography was founded in Hyderabad in 1980, by eminent pictorialist Bandi Rajan Babu. The school's curriculum was designed to provide excellent photography education and effective career preparation for both beginners as well as advanced students. The goal of the school is to nurture and cultivate the unique qualities of each student through an interesting curriculum, in an inspiring environment, under the leadership of Rajan Babu.
Under the able guidance of Babu and the school, many students won national and international photography honors, which include Licentiateship and Associateship of the Royal Photographic Society of Great Britain, the Artiste Federation International de L'Art Photographique of Belgium, the India International Photographic Council (IIPC) of New Delhi, India, and the Federation of Indian Photography (FIP) of Kolkata, India.
Most of the alumni of Rajan's School of Photography are placed worldwide, doing excellent work in their specialized fields and promoting the art of photography.
