Urbanization has rocked them. And art is perturbed on being robbed of its landscape. As western music is having its own 'revive-rock' movement, a similar slogan is being raised with a piece of graphite and some concern for nature.
Lata Marur, an untrained artist, is exhibiting her pencilled rockscape sketches in the form of an exhibition named 'Rockumentree'. Keenly interested in Nature and its surroundings, Lata especially likes rocks, and her sketches basically depict various forms of rock and their beauty.
She feels that when we cut down trees, we have a chance of growing them by planting new ones, but once we destroy rocks, there is no chance of us reviving or rebuilding them. Destroying rocks in the name of urbanization amputates Nature's splendor.
In order to create awareness among people to save rocks, she has named this exhibition "Rocumentree" (Rock+Tree). This is her 3rd solo exhibition.
