Making mincemeat of something isn't always violent. Especially when civilization even has a festival for it. So when the land of bhangra and dhabas decides to celebrate its New Year by holding a food festival, it may be a good idea to lose yourself to your taste buds. Else you may lose out on an experience.
Kebab-E-Bahar is a premier restaurant started in the year 1980 by Hotel Taj Banjara and has since then become one of the most preferred eating joints for the upmarket Hyderabadis. It has to its credit a number of Hyderabadi specialties, and is appreciated by gourmets from across the world.
This restaurant was relaunched in 1998 with a show kitchen where you can see the master Kebabiyas converting delicate morsels of meat, mushrooms and vegetables into mouth-watering delicacies. This restaurant's original Master Chef, Chamanlal, has been working for the Taj for more than two decades now, and the Dhaba food in a rustic atmosphere was his brainchild. He is from Hoshiarpur in Punjab and the Dhaba festival has been successful under his tutelage.
The settings here will be akin to those of a typical dhaba, replete with a puncture shop, a country liquor outlet, a sweet shop, a machan and all the other trappings of a dhaba. You can enjoy this festival with your family in a rustic ambience and have a dig at culinary delights like Dhaba Murgh, Tali Macchli, Anda Masala, Brain Masala, Meat Tariwala, Sarson Ka Saag, Mah Chole Di Dal, Makki Ki Roti and, last but not the least, Lassi.
