The Ranga Reddy District Athletics Association is organising the Annual Athletics Championships, on 23rd September, at the Saroornagar indoor stadium. Competitions will be held in the Under-14 and Under-16 age categories for both boys and girls.
In the Under-16 category for boys and girls, the events comprise the 100 metres, 400 metres, 800 metres and 1,500 metres running races, 100 metres hurdles, high jump, long jump, shotput, discus throw and javelin throw, while the Under-14 boys and girls category will see competitions in the 60 metres, 200 metres and 800 metres running races, high jump, long jump and shotput.
The winners in these championships will represent Ranga Reddy district in the National Inter-District Athletics Championships which will be held later this year. Registrations will be done on the spot. Interested participants should reach the venue with their proof of age before 8am.
