Dhanaratne is a businessman. His wife's sister, Nanda, is in love with an Army officer. Dhanaratne sexually abuses her. Due to absence from work, the Army officer is taken into custody. Dhanaratne gets him released from custody and helps him start a small boutique. However, the business becomes a failure.
Dhanaratne's wife gets to know that he helps Nanda, and she in turn reveals it to the Army officer. The officer starts beating his wife. Dhanaratne gets admitted to the hospital for treatment, and Nanda who visits him throws acid on his face and he dies. Nanda is taken to jail. Nanda's husband lives far away, and his only ambition is to become richer than Dhanaratne.
If you did not understand any of that, well, the only remedy is to watch this one. And given that the film was awarded the Sarasaviya award for Best Actor, it promises to be a treat.
