The UP Handicrafts & Handlooms showroom at Gunfoundry is organising an exhibition of handicrafts and handlooms from 1st May to 30th June. Artisans from Hyderabad and from the state of Uttar Pradesh are participating in this exhibition.
The colourful exhibition has a wide variety of handicrafts such as canvas paintings, cloth paintings, stitch work paintings, Nirmal and Siddipet paintings, finely framed portraits and figures of gods and goddesses, soft and stuffed toys, applique work, khurja pottery, metal-cast handicrafts, silver plated puja mandirs, cloth lamp shades and hand bags, embroidered shawls and blankets, handloom saris and dress material, wood crafted furniture, artificial jewelry, jute bags and swings, and Feng Shui articles.
A vintage gramophone dating back to the 1940s is the centre of attraction. Woollen and silk carpets are another speciality of the exhibition, and they are amongst the best in the country. Discounts are being given on demand on various products.
