The Lepakshi showroom at RTC X Roads has commissioned a new art gallery, and on this occasion is organising an exhibition of handicrafts and handlooms till 22nd June. This exhibition-cum-sale will feature several articles of handicrafts and handlooms from all over the country.
There are about 20 stalls which display modern art paintings, artificial flowers, khujra pottery from Uttar Pradesh and handlooms from different states. Paintings on various subjects and themes, made on canvas and handmade paper, and with oil paints and natural colours, are also part of the exhibition. The display has a large collection of motifs like village scenes, natural sceneries, flowers, god figures and modern art.
A few reproduced paintings of Ravi Raja are also on display. The cost ranges between Rs. 200 and Rs. 2,000. Other exhibits on show include tea and dinner sets, soup bowls, jugs, mugs, kettles and plates. A large collection of decorative items like pen stands and flower pots is also available, in a wide range of colours and prices.
