The Osmania University Inter-College Tournaments Committee For Men And Women is organising the Inter-College Athletics Championships 2007, on 7th and 8th December, at the Osmania University grounds. Participation is open for all colleges affiliated with Osmania University. Competitions will be held in the events under:
100m running race for men and women
200m running race for men and women
400m running race for men and women
1,500m running race for men and women
5,000m race for men and women
10,000m race for men and women
Shotput for men and women
Discus for men and women
Javelin Throw for men and women
Hammer Throw for men and women
Long Jump for men and women
High Jump for men and women
Triple Jump for men and women
110m Hurdles for men
100m Hurdles for women
4 X 100m relay for men and women
4 X 400m relay for men and women
400m Hurdles for men and women
Each college will be allowed to send a maximum of two competitors per individual event and one team of four members for relay events. Prizes in the form of medals and merit certificates will be given to the top three in an event.
Team championships will be awarded separately for men and women on the basis of the total points in all events put together. Five points for the first place, three points for second and one point for the third place will be awarded for the individual events, while ten, six and two points for the first, second and third places respectively will be awarded for the relay events. There will also be a Best Athlete award for the overall best performer.
