A group of three Telangana artistes from Hyderabad, Lingaraju Gone, Kappari Kishan and Lingampalli Saraswati, are exhibiting their works, from 1st to 10th December, at the Lakshana Art Gallery. The exhibition has been titled the Triad - Different Strokes In Harmony, and contains about 50 paintings in different media and on various topics.
Lingaraju Gone, a MFA in painting, has named his series External Factors, and his paintings script the frame with a clear sky and rock formations in the background, and fresh lotus flowers in the forefront. These are the natural rock formations and landscape around Hyderabad that will perish soon. According to him, the softness and gentleness of the flower, and the hardness and solidity of the rock formations have held the city in harmony.
Kappari Kishan has a diploma in painting, and having born and brought up in Telangana, is highly influenced by the life of the Telangana people. These have been reflected in his works. Stylish women with dark complexion, bright clothes, long ponytails and enchanting landscapes in the background, gossiping and chatting among themselves, grazing their cattle and immersed in their daily household chores, cover the canvas of Kishan.
Lingampalli Saraswati recreates the poetry in the everyday rustic life of her native Telangana region. The woman is the center of activity, in her daily chores or in her pensive moods. The backdrop of thatched huts, kerosene lamps, stone grinders, cocks and goats, are effectively involved in her compositions. Details of attire and ornaments are rendered with care.
