Amrutha Varshini, in association with the Tirumala Tirupathi Devastanams and the Department of Culture, is conducting the Annamayya Bala Brahmotsavams, the state-level music competitions for school children, from 4th to 7th February, at the Hari Hara Kala Bhavan.
The competition is divided into three categories: sub-juniors (7 to 9 years), juniors (10 to 12 years) and seniors (13 to 16 years). The participants are allowed to sing only Annamacharya keertanas. Accompanying musicians such as keyboard and tabla players will be provided by the organisers.
Outstation participants will be provided with free accommodation. This competition is open only for school children, and participants are required to get certification from their respective school principals on their application forms.
Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 winners in each category. The final winner in each category will be given an opportunity to sing in the Annamacharya Sankeertanas audio cassette/CD to be released presently by Amrutha Varshini and TTD, and also to participate in the Annamacharya anniversary celebrations to be held at Tirumala. The winner along with his family will also be given a fully paid trip to the hill-top shrine. Participation certificates will be given to all the participants.
