A Wonderful Dance Ballad

Through the ages, dancing has survived. Be it the jerks of someone neither black nor white or the graceful moves of a ballet dancer. The dance form continues to make us sway in reverance or in course to ward off sleep, depending on the context. Surely, Bharatnatyam  has evolved according to Darwin's law of nature, and shows us exactly why it is the fittest.

The dance performance of the evening is a ballad called Godha Kalyanam, that fantastic episode from our legendary tales. The performenrs are all Sree Usha Gaythri's disciples. They are: Kumari Sri Lekhya, Gautami Chaudari, Bhargavi and others.

The occasion is the release of a book on harmony by /Veda Shastra Panditulu.' C. Narayanamurthy, the living legend of Telugu literature, is set to draw admirers at the release of the Grandham, 'Madhabedaanta Desika Praneeta Paaduka Sahasram.'
