REVIEW FOR 10TH ANNIVERSARY OF CHILDREN'S...

Imagine 4 days of and 17 plays by children. We decided not to. For the brave, the indulging and the parents, the venue is Ravindra Bharati.

On the occasion of the 10th Anniversary of the Children's Art Theatre, from 27th to 30th November, 17 plays by children will be performed at Ravindra Bharathi, as per schedule given below:

Sravana Bhrantulu from Madanapally
Jaati Smaraami from Narasaraopet
Andina Ambaram from Vijayawada
O Naluguru from Bhimavaram
Pillalu Kadu Pidugulu from Hyderabad

30th November, 10:00AM onwards
Bhoochodu from Nizamabad
Viswa Vijetalu from Hyderabad
Mayamayindi from Hyderabad

All the plays will be performed by the children from various schools of Andhra Pradesh. The festival will be inaugurated on 27th November by Nedurmalli Rajyalakshmi, the Minister for Education. The special guest for the evening is C S Appa Rao, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, while the other guests are Parthasarathy, IAS, Chairman of FDC, and Uppuluri Mallikarjuna Sarma, Secretary of Ravindra Bharathi.

Whistle Wizard K Sivaprasad, Poet Andesri and DEO of Medak P Laxma Reddy are the special invitee guests for 28th, 29th and 30th of November respectively. A P High Court Advocate J Chalameshwar is the chief guest for the closing ceremony on 30th November, with the Director of Dept. of Culture Dr Rallabandi Kavitaprasad, and educationist Chukka Ramaiah being special invitees.

Cash prizes amounting to a total of Rs. 70,000 will be given away to the teams enacting each play. An amount of Rs. 3,000 with appreciation certificates will be handed over by the special invitee guest everyday for each of the plays, in addition to Rs. 5,000 for the best play, Rs. 4,000 for the 2nd best and Rs. 3,000 for the 3rd best plays.
