Whittaker's Cup Inter-Church Sports Meet

If religion is serious stuff, then this week the Wesley Church at Ramkote is planning to commit blasphemy!

The Wesley Church, Ramkote, is organising the Whittaker's Cup Inter-Church Sports Meet at YMCA, Narayanaguda, and NTR Stadium, from 11th to 16th September.

The competitions will be held in Cricket, Volleyball, Basketball and Table Tennis, as also in singing, quizzing and choreography. About 40 city churches are expected to participate. The meet would be inaugurated by Sugander, Bishop of The Wesley Church, at NTR Stadium on 11th September, and Swaranjit Sen, Director General of Police, will attend the closing ceremony.

Cricket will be held on 14th and 15th September; Volleyball on 14th and 15th; Basketball from 13th to 16th; Table Tennis on 14th and 15th; and singing, quizzing and choreography on 14th and 15th September. All the competitions except Cricket will be held at YMCA Narayanaguda. Cricket will be played at the NTR Stadium. The winning church will be awarded the Whittaker's Cup.
