Nada Bharathi Cultural Association is conducting cultural programs at Kala Subbarao Kala Vedika, the mini-hall of the Sri Thyagaraja Gana Sabha, Chikkadpally. This event will last 3 days starting from 13th May till 15th May. These programs are being conducted on the occasion of Narasimha Jayanti. The list of the programs is as below:
13th May
Carnatic vocal by P V Seshayya Sastry, accompanied by musicians B S Narayanan on the violin and Srinivasa Gopalan on the mridangam
14th May
Carnatic vocal by D V Mohana Krishna, accompanied by musicians B S Narayanan on the violin and J Bhasker on the mridangam
15th May
Carnatic vocal by Jayamani Narsimhan, accompanied by musicians Komanduri Venkata Krishna on the violin and Srinivasa Gopalan on the mridangam
Nada Bharathi was started in 2000 by a renowned mridangist, Yuva Sangeeta Bharathi Paravastu Srinivas Gopalan, who hails from a family of classical musicians. The basic objective of the organisation is to preserve, promote and propagate all forms of classical music, by increasing awareness through regular concerts.
Since its inception, it has conducted more than 500 concerts, concentrating not only on Carnatic music but also on Hindustani. The organisation has held musical concerts of renowned vocalists, violinists, mridangists, flautists and vainikas.
