Whether you entertain your guests by cooking Chinese or Western cuisine, nothing enhances a carefully prepared dish, like a graceful fruit or vegetable carving, or some simple but elegant garnishes.
Vegetable carving expertise is arguably unsurpassed for skill and finesse. Mr. Raju, an award winning master food carving instructor is going to teach this basics of his beloved art, in three 2-hour sessions held on consecutive days from the 22nd of this month at Agri-Horticulture Society at Public Gardens.
Willing students can learn food carving techniques and ornate flower patterns, which can be used conveniently as table decorations or as Juicy platters. The course uses easy-to-carve large fleshy fruits such as watermelon, cantaloupe, oranges, grapes etc, and will also be shown how to carve intricate patterns on the small surfaces found on vegetables such as carrots and potatoes. The course helps you to learn about garnishing of cucumbers, tomatoes, chilies, and spring onions.
