For most of us, the only quizzes we can crack are the ones designed for people 10 years younger. Here, then, is Thanksgiving!
The Hindu is conducting the annual Young World Quiz on October 16, at Sri Sathya Sai Nigamagamam, Srinagar Colony. Each school can send a maximum of three teams comprising two students each from classes 10 to 12. Completed entry cards should reach The Hindu office on or before October 9.
At each center there will be a written preliminary round, to select six teams for the regional finals. Admit cards have already been sent to schools. The winning team from each region will be eligible to participate in the all-India final. Prizes will be awarded at every stage, besides certificates to all participants.
The all-India final will be held at Madurai on November 14. The Hindu will meet the cost of travel, boarding and lodging of the teams and for one accompanying parent or teacher from outside Madurai, for the final.
