Here's a man who'll cause rumbles in your carefully cultivated stereotype for politicians. He's a villager at heart and - yes - feels for them. And the results have been Matti Deepalu, Toranalu, Amma Vodilo and Kiranalu, 4 books that deal with the peaceful atmosphere in villages and the woes of villagers. And he's following them up with one more.
The gentleman we refer to is none other than our own state law minister, P Chandrasekhar. A man with keen interest in the arts and in literature, he even knows Urdu, and translates sher-aur-shayari (poems) in Telugu. One such attempt is "Kusumalu".
"Kusumalu" talks about the people in villages and how a ray of hope can change their lives and living standards. Like we said, all his other 4 books delve upon similar themes. Chandrasekar had dedicated his very first book "Matti Deepalu" to the late CM, N T Rama Rao, in 1995. Today, Dr. C Narayana Reddy will release "Kusumalu" to the public. Acharya N Gopi, Vice Chancellor of the Telugu University, will preside over the function.
Please contact P Chandrasekhar at 345-3208 (O) / 355-2999 (R) for further details.
