If the food that you ate had any bearing on your power of thought, then here's a strong case against surd jokes. We mean, who doesn't like Punjabi food? From the tories to the taporis, they're all digging into it. And so, this hotel has decided that it might as well broad-base its diners this time.
After the recent South-Indian 'Chettinad' food festival organized last month, the Taj Residency is back with another food festival that's going to last 10 days. Called 'Kake Di Hatti', this is a Punjabi food festival with 'tagada' (strong) Punjabi food being served, as the hotel likes to put it.
The place has been done up to recreate the Punjabi ambience, with charpais, the typical liquor shops, related food stalls, a sweet stall and a lassi shop. The items served will be different each day. The special items being served are Fish Amritsari, Butter Chicken, Punjabi Tikka, Punjabi Chole, Baghaar Baingan, Makki Di Roti, Rabdi, Jalebi, Sarson Ka Saag etc.
Along with the food, four mugs of Royal Challenge draught or Patiala Royal Challenge whisky (90ml) will be served for alcohol consumers. And for the non-alcoholics, Ice Tea will be served. All this costs Rs. 325 + taxes. There'll be live bhangra on all days to entertain the diners.
